A land plot in Barkham is set to come under the hammer next month.
The 3.13 acre site is adjacent to Barkham Manor, and boasts a 440 ft frontage on Barkham Road.
Auctioneers Martin & Pole describe the lot as “ .. an interesting speculative purchase .. between the settlements of Wokingham and Arborfield.”
They said the auction represents “.. a rare opportunity to acquire a parcel of land about two miles to Wokingham town centre, and within the administration area of Wokingham Borough Council.
“The current owner submitted a planning application for three houses on part of the site.
“That application was refused by Wokingham Borough Council, and the appeal dismissed.
“The property may offer some longer-term speculative interest.”
The lot, with a guide price of £150,000, will come under the hammer on Thursday, April 10, unless sold beforehand.
