A GROUP of volunteers who regularly help to keep Charvil looking clean and tidy did a great job at their latest litter pick.
Their next tidy-up will be followed by a festive drink to celebrate their efforts to give back to the community.
“Thanks for everyone who took part in November,” said Sam Akhtar, who organises Charvil Matters clearing up sessions.
“We managed to collect eight bags of litter, so well done.”
The group’s next litter pick will be Christmas themed, with participants invited not only to pick up their gloves and litter grabbers, but to dress up in Santa hats, festive attire or Christmas jumpers.
“After our cleanup, we’ll then head over to Wee Waif to relax and celebrate our efforts with some festive drinks,” said Sam.
“Please feel free to come to just the litter pick, just the drinks, or both.”
The litter pickers would love more people to join them at their regular tidy-ups.
Their next festive litter grab will be at Milestone Avenue, RG10 9RL, at the lay-by opposite Texaco, where a kebab van usually is.
Litter picking will take place on Sunday, December 8, from 10am until 11am.
Celebration drinks will be enjoyed in the Wee Waif from 11am until 11.30am.
Look out for the festive team, or join them.
