A SELF-ADVOCACY group for people with learning disabilities in the Wokingham Borough is encouraging its members to wear Christmas sweaters for a festive competition this month.
CLASP Wokingham runs a wide range of activities and social get-togethers for people with learning disabilities.
The group meets regularly throughout the year for Drop-in sessions, discussion groups, activities, exercise, and friendship.
Their last Drop-in of the year will be devoted to festive fun, with a Christmas jumper competition, a nativity performance, and Christmas Bingo on the menu.
“This is part of the build up to Christmas, and a chance to contribute to Children In Need,” said CLASP founder and CEO Debs Morrison
“The members just LOVE dressing up so we expect to see a real array of sparkling, lit up and fun jumpers.
“I am sure they will throw themselves into it.”
All are welcome to join the group at Cafe Mosaic inside Wokingham’s Bradbury Centre, on Tuesday, December 19, from 10am until noon.
Entry costs £1, with proceeds going to Children In Need.
