A PLAYHATCH pub will be holding its annual quirky festive sing along entertainment.
The Flowing Spring’s Sing-along-a-Nicktivity is much loved by regulars who come back year after year for a night of food, fun and cheesy music.
Pub landlords Nick Willson and his wife Hazel Lucas, arrange musical events throughout the year, but their Christmas show is especially popular.
Of two performances, one is already sold out, with only a few tickets left for the other.
“I love it,” said Mr Willson.
“It’s a good laugh, and a bit of a change from the normal day-to-day pub work.
“Being spontaneous, with a bit of sarcasm thrown in, is actually quite hard work, but it’s such a lot of fun too.”
Mr Willson on piano and vocals, is joined by two musician friends on double bass, and drums.
“There will be lots of Christmas decorations, and we hope to have a bit of fake snow somewhere in there as well,” he said.
“People seem to love this event.
“They come along all dressed up, and ready to have some fun.
“It’s a great opportunity to get people singing and enjoying being together.”
Audience members will be able to enjoy two sets of Christmas music, and plenty of audience participation.
“The first half is mostly traditional carols and Christmas songs, with just a bit of irreverent sparkle,” said Mr Willson.
“But part two is very lively and rousing, with cheesy hits, and audience participation.
“I’m expecting some fun chaos.”
People with tickets can pre-order food online.
Four dishes are available for the event, costing £15 each.
Sing-along-a-Nicktivity takes place at the Flowing Spring pub, Playhatch, on Friday, December 22, and Saturday, December 23, at 8pm.
Tickets (cash only) cost £5, and must be bought directly from the pub.
The Friday performance is sold out, but a handful of tickets remain for Saturday.
