A SELF advocacy learning disability group is selling tickets for its Advent Raffle to support its regular activities in the borough.
CLASP Wokingham helps its members to engage in discussions, join health sessions, enjoy active programmes and fun social events throughout the year.
CEO and founder of CLASP Wokingham Debs Morrison, said: “Wokingham has the highest number of adults with learning disabilities in the south.
“Although we receive some funding from the local council, unfortunately we need to fund raise to provide the full range of sessions, opportunities and support we feel our members deserve.
“As one of our members put it: ‘I am grateful to CLASP because they are friendly and helpful people – I would be lost without them.’ “
To raise money for CLASP events, the group holds an annual Advent Raffle, with a daily live draw taking place on Facebook, from Sunday, December 1, through to Tuesday December 24.
People can win prizes including: Hexagon pantomime tickets, wine tasting, adventure golf tickets, Wokingham Theatre tickets, a climbing session, afternoon tea, superbowl tickets, a haircut and finish, a range of family days out, beauty items, and prosecco.
Tickets cost £5 for a single entry into the daily draw.
Three tickets cost £12, for three entries, and six tickets cost £20, for six entry opportunities.
