A TWYFORD primary school opens its doors to parents this month.
Colleton Primary School, in Colleton Drive, is holding an open morning for prospective parents, to give them an insight into the school’s educational approach and core values.
Visitors will be able to learn how the school aims to help each child reach their full potential, academically and socially, and will be able to see its new play area, an enhanced outdoor space dubbed The Telly Tubby Hill Project.
The result of a fundraising drive by the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), Telly Tubby Hill has revamped a section of playground.
Headteacher Michelle Law, said: “Thanks to the PTA’s tireless efforts, and kind contributions from our consistently generous school community, the project has provided students with an enhanced outdoor space to enrich their playtime and overall school experience.”

Colleton Primary School serves around 270 children aged four to 11, in open-plan spaces across three teams.
“We focus on personalized learning, ensuring safety and well-being,” said Ms Law.
“Our aim is to nurture our youngsters, and to prepare them for independence and community involvement.
“At the same time we maintain high teaching standards, creating a safe and supportive environment for students and staff.”
Prospective parents at the open day will be able to meet the headteacher.
After a presentation, they will also be able to take a tour of the school, its open-plan learning spaces and Telly Tubby Hill.
The Colleton Primary School open day is on Wednesday, November 20, at 9.30am.
