Two leading housing providers have joined forces to deliver more homes, support and services to their customers.
Yarlington and Radian- who share a collective 114 years of business- cemented the new partnership at the start of this month and now manage 38,000 homes and assets, with 79,000 customers between them.
And through their collaboration the organisation plans to deliver an additional 10,000 homes across the South and South West of England over the next 10 years.
Commenting on the reasoning behind the partnership, Yarlington said: “By using our combined expertise we’re taking a logical step to be able to deliver even more for our customers by providing more homes, building stronger communities and transforming services.”
“Our core ambitions for the new organisation will still be to provide great service to our customers and to build more affordable homes for the future.”
The merging of the providers’ teams will also allow the new organisation to invest more time into community projects, such as contributing additional resources to homelessness prevention and providing new digital services to its customers.
Group Chief Executive of Radian Group, Gary Orr said: “I am extremely pleased to confirm this new partnership as our two organisations complement each other in many different ways.
“Having embarked on initial discussions earlier this year, it became evident through a period of thorough consultation and due diligence that we could provide an even better service for our customers by forming this new company.”
And although over the coming months services and contact methods will remain the same for customers, Mr Orr added: “Combining our skills and resources means we can further increase our programme of new homes delivery, but at the heart of all this our commitment to our customers and our social purpose remains unchanged.
“We will continue to provide homes to those who are in need of affordable housing, whilst offering the opportunity of home ownership to those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.
At the same time, we will continue to support the communities in which we work by facilitating access to employment opportunities and training, whilst improving our digital services.”
The new organisation- covering 36 local authority areas- will retain the customer-focussed approach and social purpose of its predecessors while drawing on the experience of both Radian and Yarlington.
