A group of residents gathered to post a letter to prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer, in Wokingham on Tuesday.
Led by David Chapman, the letter urged him to bring back the climate and nature (CAN) bill for debate and a vote in parliament.
The letter said: “We write as residents of Wokingham.
“On July 11, the CAN bill will return to the House of Commons, but is unlikely to progress without your government’s support.
“With your huge majority, you have the power to grant it emergency debate time and deliver the change you promised.
Prime Minister, we want REAL change for a better Britain.
“People in Wokingham want you to step up climate and nature action – not pull back. “Will you ensure the CAN Bill is allocated more time, debated and voted on in this parliamentary session?”
The letter was posted in Sturges Road on Tuesday afternoon.
