A public consultation has opened into outline plans for 26 homes off Barkham Ride in Finchampstead.
The proposal involved the demolition of the existing property and its associated garage at 31 Barkham Ride.
The site is adjacent to the Victoria Gardens park homes site and Rooks Nest Country Park.
Some comments regarding the plans have already been received.
Barkham Parish Council said: “The high housing density raises concerns over the increased amount of traffic this development will bring, which will be exiting onto a narrow road, which is already struggling with the volume of traffic and speed.
“There are also concerns over the lack of amenities for this site and the added pressure that it will bring to the already overstretched medical services.
“For the above reasons Barkham Parish Council requests this application be rejected.”
Finchampstead Parish Council has also shared its concerns.
The application was submitted earlier this year. The consultation period ends on October 27.
