FROM Thursday this week residents’ bin collections will take place on a different day due to the festive period.
Wokingham Borough Council’s crews will not be working on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day, which all fall on normal collection days this year.
Because of the bank holidays, collections due to take place between Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day), and Friday, January 9, will happen later than usual.
However, crews will also be working on Saturdays to enable them to catch up, and will be starting their routes from 5.30am.
People are advised to check their updated collection dates before putting their bins out.
The council also asks residents to help their local communities by sharing the information in their street’s WhatsApp group.
