A NEW children’s nursery has opened its doors to borough youngsters, with parents invited to visit the setting and secure a place for their child.
Wokingham town mayor Rob Comber and Cllr Adrian Mathers officially Monkey Puzzle Nursery with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its launch day in May.
Now the Ofsted registered nursery is open for business, and in recent weeks families have been able to look around and book places for their youngsters.
The nursery offers 73 places; for babies, tweenies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers aged from three months to five years.
With rooms equipped for the different age groups, the nursery says that it feels like a home-from-home for the children in its care, and helps them play, learn and grow.
Nursery owner Dilpreet Singh, said: “It has felt like a dream come true.
“I have always had an interest in education.
“A few years back, during the adoption process with my son, the local agency suggested I spend some time with children in a nursery.
“After only a few visits to the nursery settings, immediately I knew this is what I can do and would love to do.
“I want to ensure more people are inspired to work within the early years sector, and to support the fantastic team at Monkey Puzzle Wokingham on their career journeys.
“We have a very experienced and versatile team to provide high quality care to Wokingham families.”
The nursery, on Rectory Road will be open on Monday to Friday from 7:30am until 6:30pm, 51 weeks of the year.
Career opportunities are available for unqualified nursery practitioners, qualified nursery practitioners, and preschool teachers.
