The new Mayor of Earley has been selected to represent the people of the town.
Councillor Alistair Neal (Liberal Democrats, St Nicolas) has been elected as the Mayor of Earley for 2026-2027.
The Deputy Town Mayor for the year will be cllr Andrew Long (Liberal Democrats, Cutbush).

All invitations to the Mayor are automatically extended to the Deputy Mayor if the Mayor is unavailable.
The core duties of the mayor include chairing town council meetings, acting as the official figurehead for the local community, and promoting public involvement in council activities.
Councillors Neal and Long were elected to their respective positions during the council’s annual general meeting on Wednesday, May 6.
Earlier this year, he criticised Network Rail for not adding wheelchair accessibility features and assistance for cyclists to a replacement footbridge at Earley train station.
Cllr Neal previously served as a Wokingham Borough councillor for the Hillside ward in Lower Earley from 2022 to 2024.
