SANTA Claus isn’t coming to town … he’s heading to Dinton Pastures. Along with Mrs Claus, Santa Paws and even a few elves.
The reason for the collection of Clauses is to make room for a few more mince pies ahead of Christmas Eve, thanks to the annual Dinton Santa Dash.
Now in its eighth year, the event sees runners of all ages put on their jolly red robes and go for a run around the Hurst-based country park.
Entrants receive a Santa suit, event number, festive medal, mince pies and chocolates, and also make a donation to Wokingham-based First Days Children’s Charity: every £120 raised will help buy a bed set for a child: a frame, mattress, duvet, two pillows and linen.
There are two routes: a 2km race, which starts at 10.30am, and a 5km one, which starts at 11am.
Organisers say there is no minimum age, with suits and baby grows available.
