Work on the new Market Place is continuing and a new time lapse video released by Wokingham Town Council shows the speed at which the York stone can be installed.
Filmed over two hours, it shows a number of lines of the new paving stone being installed outside the town hall.
It is hoped that parts of Market Place will be opened in time for the May Fayre on May 7.
This week, the team will continue to install the paving and also add in cement bound foundations for the new footpath area.
New granite kerbs will be built in the area around the town hall and the front of the Courtyard Restaurant.
Excavation works will start in front of the shop fronts outside Superdrug, Wallis and, on the other side of the road outside Timpsons and Piccolo Arco. All businesses remain open during the works.
Work on the section of Denmark Street that has been closed to traffic will continue, including the excavation and installation of drainage pipe and gulley pots and drainage manholes.
The project should be completed by July, but areas will re-open before then and the market will return to Market Place in due course.
