WOKINGHAM District Under-11s clinched an historic league double with a Good Friday victory at Oxford.
Having already secured the Surrey League title, Wokingham added the Southern Counties League crown to their collection with a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Emmanuel Osho, Ejiro Abbey and Amar Bakkati.
That win means Stuart Bevan’s side having won both leagues without losing a game with this Southern Counties triumph the first in the association’s history.
Attention now turns to cups with a trip to Jersey before a national competition at Liverpool’s Melwood Training Ground in June.
“To go unbeaten in both leagues and win both leagues is very rare and will go down in Wokingham Schools’ FA history,” said Bevan.
