Reading FC suffered a disappointing blow as they were defeated at home in the league for the first time since March with a 1-0 loss to Leyton Orient.
Orient went into the game bottom of the table having yet to pick up a point, while the defeat sees Reading from 8th to 12th.
Coniah Boyce-Clarke 3: Made a very good stop just moments before disaster as he spilled what should have been a routine save. A mistake that he can hopefully bounce back from
Michael Craig 6: Has slotted in at full-back very nicely and is doing a fine job for the team. Smacked the outside of the post with a speculative effort in the second-half.
Tyler Bindon 5: Saw plenty of the ball and was as calm as ever in possession. Hit plenty of long balls, but Reading weren’t able to get much joy from them.
Amadou Mbengue 5: A few uncharacteristically sloppy moments, but wasn’t actually tested too often in what was a game lacking in quality.
Jeriel Dorsett 4: Was almost punished when he was caught on the ball just outside of his own area. Is usually reliable defensively but had some poor moments.
Charlie Savage 4: Far too often his passing was wayward and was too eager to get the ball forward too quickly.
Lewis Wing 5: Quiet by his standards. Went close with a first-half free kick which was well stopped. Had a chance the edge of the box in usual Wing territory but slipped.
Ben Elliot 6.5: By far Reading’s brightest spark in what was a very poor collective performance. Kept driving forward and trying to pick out progressive passes.
Chem Campbell 5: Had a huge chance to score on his debut as he cut inside brilliantly but couldn’t provide the finish, which in fairness was well saved.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomham 5: Not his day. Kept trying to cut inside to find some space to fire a shot at goal but it didn’t happen for him. Reading tried playing direct to him plenty of times, but it didn’t pay off.
Sam Smith 5: Starved of service. Had to chase a lot of long balls so wasn’t able to get involved in build up play as much as he usually does.
