Year 10 students at Waingels who are part of the AAA programme are celebrating an exciting achievement, having had their original poetry selected for publication by ‘Young Writers’ a national organisation celebrating poetry and creative writing for Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 students.
The Waingels programme offers students in Year 8, 9 and 10 the opportunities to develop an experience of a wider curriculum through a number of challenges to support students’ aspirations.
This year’s Year 10 English and languages challenge works now appear in the anthology I Have A Dream, a collection which showcases creativity and talent from young authors across the country.
This accomplishment highlights both their imagination and dedication to writing, marking an important milestone in their academic journey.
The book is available to purchase from Waterstonesa and other retailers that supports children’s literary awards, allowing a wider audience to enjoy and celebrate their work.
