Voters from across Wokingham borough will be heading to the polling stations at the start of next month for the first borough-wide exercise in democracy since the general election.

The election will be held on Thursday, May 7, and polls will be open from 7am to 10pm.

A total of 98 people have been nominated with five parties standing in all 18 council wards from Finchampstead in the south to Twyford in the north.

Only in Wokingham Without will voters be allowed to put two crosses on their ballot paper, as a former councillor stood down, and two seats are up for election there.

For the first time, there is a full slate of candidates from the Conservatives, Labour and the Lib Dems, and also from the Green Party and Reform UK too, so wherever you live you have the complete choice of all five parties.

There are also two candidates from the Trades Unionist and Socialist Coalition and one independent. This is the complete list of candidates:
