A WOKINGHAM Reformer Pilates studio’s wellness event raised funds for Cancer Research.
Refresh Health Wokingham, which has studios in Reading, Wokingham and Pangbourn, opened its Wokingham venue to host a Charity Wellness Day, giving local people an opportunity to try out Reformer Pilates while raising money for a good cause.

The Wokingham Boutique Studio is situated on a top floor in Wokingham Market Place, directly above its neighbour Cancer Research Wokingham, and chose to donate the proceeds of its fundraiser to the charity.
“Thank you to everyone who came,” said Lisa Fairweather from Refresh Health.
“We really enjoyed hosting the event and seeing so many friendly faces, including many people experiencing their very first Reformer Pilates class.”
“It was wonderful to bring the community together in such a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment.”
The event raised £120 to help researchers continue their work detecting and treating more than 200 types of cancer.
Cancer Research volunteer Richard, who has served in the Workingham store for 26 years, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Refresh – it was very nice of them to think of us, and very encouraging.
“They’ve not been here very long, but already they are turning out to be good neighbours to have, and we’re very grateful.”
At the fundraiser event visitors were also able to talk with Aesthetic Pharmacist Farah Jabar who specialises in evidence-based skin treatments.

“We look forward to continuing our community support and welcoming even more people into our growing wellbeing community,” said Lisa.
