RESIDENTS and staff at a care home in Sindlesham took a step back in time for a 1950s party last month.
Staff and residents at RMBI Home Lord Harris Court, in Mole Road, dressed up in 1950s attire and enjoyed a themed menu for the party.
Local entertainer Grace helped residents reminisce about the era, and fun activities included a hula hoop competition and a 1950s quiz.
Activities Coordinator Hannah Lawrence said: “We’re always keen to put on events that help our residents to recall memories, especially for our residents living with dementia.
“It brings a sense of familiarity and many residents have fond stories from this era and its culture from the clothes they wore, to the food they ate and music they listened to. It was wonderful to help recreate this environment and bring everyone together to celebrate this period of time.”
