Sonning batsman Devan Sharma scored 128 to guide his side to a vital victory over Ruislip.

Sharma’s century helped lift Sonning out of the Thames Valley Division 3b relegation zone, scoring 22 boundaries in an impressive knock.

There were two other hundreds this week with Richard Morris scoring 116 for Berkshire against Shropshire at Finchampstead CC while Wokingham’s Dan Housego hit 109 as the Oaks beat Shipton-under-Wychwood in the Home Counties League.

It was the bowling where there were many impressive performances, led by sensational figures of 8-31 by Martin Smith for Wargrave 2s against Thatcham Town 2s.

He edged out Matt Hayman (7-8) for Binfield while Shinfield’s Anuraag Shukla posted figures of 7-13 against Earley in the Berkshire Premier Division.
