ORANGE ALERT: Woodley’s buses face a month of diversions due to roadworks

The Orange 13 service links Reading with Woodley

WOODLEY bus users are being warned of a month of delays to roadworks.

Reading Buses says it is likely the Orange 13 and 14 routes will see disruption until Monday, October 2.

There is gas main replacement works at the at the junction of Glendevon Road and Church Road.

This will affect stops on Butts Hill Road and Tippings Lane.

A diversion will run between Headley Road Circle and Woodley Piazza stops.

Reading Buses will also be unable to use the stops at Wilmington Close, Ravensbourne Drive, Brecon Road Parade, Brandon Avenue, Oakdale Walk and Headley Close.

The Orange 13 will see the following diversion: after Woodley Piazza, orange 13 buses will continue onto Headley Road East returning to the normal route at Headley Road Circle.

And on the Orange 14 route, after Headley Road Circle, the buses will continue on to Headley Road East stopping additionally at Headley Park and returning to the normal route at Woodley Piazza.

Buses will serve all stops on these diversions.

A spokesperson for Reading Buses said: “We thank you for your patience during these necessary works.”

Additional road closures are expected on The Bader Way this weekend – September 8 through to Monday, September 11. The works on the bridge near the A329m roundabout have been delayed several times already, but no Reading Buses services run along this road.
