READING FC have confirmed the signing of midfielder Lewis Wing on a free transfer.
Wing joins the Royals on a three-year deal as Ruben Selles continues to shape his squad ahead of the start of the season.
He becomes the third permanent signing of the summer, joining both Sam Smith and Jordan Knibbs, while Amadou Mbengue also committed to signing a new contract.
The 28-year-old started is most recognised for his time at Middlesbrough where he made 80 Championship appearances in five seasons and netted 12 goals.
After loan spells with Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday, Wing made the move to join League One Wycombe Wanderers in 2021.
During two seasons with the Chairboys, Wing scored 11 times in 57 league appearances before his contract expired this summer.
The midfielder had looked set to reunite with former Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth and join Championship side Queens Park Rangers, however the Royals have now beaten them to his signature.
