It’s the first day of Wokingham Festival today. The annual event fuses live music, food and real ale into a three-day party. Here is what you can expect today.
It takes place at Cantley Park off Twyford Road, and there are two stages for people to enjoy.
Acts are timed so that you don’t have to miss a song.
The main stage is the TradeMark Music stage, and is hosted by BBC Radio Berkshire’s Andy Jones.
The acts are:
- 12.30pm – The Wave Machine
- 1.30pm – Selina and the Howlin Dogs
- 2.30pm – 4G Band
- 3.30pm – The Rachel Redman Band
- 4.45pm – Sprigann Mist
- 6pm – Bottle Kids
- 7.30pm – Mr Grey’s Jailhouse Jukebox
- 9pm – Crazy Diamond
The Wokingham Music Club Stage features the following acts:
- Noon – Indigo Child
- 1pm – Emily Jane Sheppard
- 2pm – Char
- 3pm – The Station
- 4.15pm – Rocket Kings
- 5.30pm – Rye Wolf
- 7pm – Split the Dealer
- 8.30pm – Deva St John
- 9.15pm – Silent disco
The weather is good, with temperatures due to reach a peak of 23C. It will be sunny and cloudy for most of the day, with just a 10% chance of rain showers.
Doors open at 11am, and the event ends at 10.30pm this evening. The same hours are kept tomorrow.
Advance ticket sales are now closed, but there will be the chance to buy some on the gate, if available.
They cost £40 for a weekend ticket, or £16 for a day ticket.
Under 18s pay £13 for a weekend pass and £5 for a day ticket.
Under eights can enjoy the event for free.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
