A PERFECT match was served up at Austin House in Lower Earley when residents and staff tuned in to watch the Wimbledon men’s tennis final.
As well as enjoying the action on court, delighted residents netted an afternoon tea of strawberries and cream.
General manager, Joseph Patterson said it was game, set and match for head chef Ainsworth Brown’s menu followed by a volley of praise when it was washed down with a glass of Pimms.
“We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating the return of Wimbledon, it is always a firm favourite with our residents. We’ve been watching as much as we possibly could this year and enjoyed every minute,” said Mr Patterson.
Resident Roger, added: “I absolutely love watching Wimbledon, it is definitely my favourite sporting fixture.
“It was lovely to watch the matches with all my friends here and to enjoy all the delicious treats.”
