EARLEY Town Council recently sent out grants to a number of groups and organisations, and at a meeting earlier this month noted letters of thanks.
Members of the Policy and Resources Committee said they were pleased to receive the acknowledgements when they met on June 7.
The thanks came from: ARC, First Days Children’s Charity, Berkshire County Blind Society, Home Start – Wokingham, CAB – Reading, Keep Mobile, Chemogiftbags, Link Visiting Scheme, Cianna’s Smile, Parenting Special Children, Cruse Bereavement, Readibus, Earleybus, Reading Male Voice Choir, Earley Day Centre, Wokingham Volunteer Centre, Earley Environmental Group, Wokingham Waterside Centre, EASI.
Now the grants for this year have been allocated the town council says it welcomed applications for the next round. The criteria is the community group or organisation must provide activities that benefit or support Earley residents.
