Wokingham Town Football Club play in the Cherry Red Records League Challenge Cup Final, tonight against Windsor & Eton at Cobham in Surrey.
The semi-final match at Lowther Road against Wallingford & Crowmarsh was abandoned with 11 minutes remaining due to a serious injury to Wallingford’s Tyler D’Cruz that required an ambulance.
The Sumas were leading 3-1 at the time but the league committee awarded the match to Wokingham Town.
They will go into tonight’s match as underdogs, with their opponents securing promotion via the play-offs at the end of the league season.
A win would be a fitting tribute for the Emmbrook-based club that is celebrating its 150th anniversary season.
They have never competed in a league cup final at any stage in their history as Wokingham Town FC.,
