EARLIER this year, Stagecoach Head Office contacted a borough troupe, inviting them to represent England, alongside Stagecoach groups from around the world, at the first ever StageVision performance in London this month.
Stagecoach Wokingham, which meets at St Crispin’s School and The Holt School, was thrilled to take up the invitation.
Claire Louise Rosser, Stagecoach Performing Arts Wokingham’s principal, said: “We had already performed our senior troupe piece RUNWAY! at Shaftesbury Theatre and we knew it would be the ideal performance alongside the other amazing countries travelling to London for this event.”
The young performers, 22 of them, are aged 13 and upwards, and come from Wokingham and the surrounding area.
“Many of them have been with us since they were tiny (4 years old) and I think it is a home and safe space for them to express themselves, make new friends and be creative,” said Claire.
“The familiarity means they know they can always come each weekend and leave with a bit of joy in their week.
“We are so excited to perform alongside students from Canada, Austrailia, Germany, Malta and Wales in the first of this kind of event for Stagecoach.
“It is a celebration of creative courage around the world, bringing together students with similar interests.
“And of course, it’s such a huge honour for us to represent England.
“Our students will perform alongside guest performances from Remember Monday (UK’s Eurovision entry last year) and Bird College.
“We can’t wait!”

Stagecoach StageVision 2026 takes place this weekend at Shaftesbury Theatre.
Hosted by Hayley Palmer, it will bring together performers from six countries, with special guest performances from Bird College, Luca Mo and Remember Monday, last year’s UK Eurovision entry.
