An event will take place later this month to remember Ronnie Goodberry – regarded by many as a local legend – who passed away recently.
Woodley town council and the Woodley carnival committee are inviting the people of Woodley and others who knew him to celebrate his life at an informal open event to be held at the Oakwood Centre on May 30, starting at 2.30pm.
There will be a short celebrant service at 2.30pm followed by a gathering and socialising period until about 5.30pm.
This event is an open invitation for anyone who wishes to pay their respects to Ronnie and his family. There will be tea/coffee and a bar selling wines and beers.
A book of Remembrance will be available for those who wish to leave a message for his family.
Representatives from some of Ronnie’s favourite good causes will be in attendance
Ronnie will be laid to rest at a small private ceremony on May 29 for immediate family and a small number of invited guests.
