Wokingham shoppers can get their hands on brand new and preloved designer and high street fashion bargains from £5 when the Smart Works Reading Fashion Sale pops up for the first time at Wokingham town hall next month.
The event, on Friday April 24 and Saturday April 25, marks the first time the popular quarterly fashion sale has come to Wokingham, bringing high-quality donated pieces from famous brands priced at up to 70% off RRP.
Friday, April 24, will feature an exclusive Fashion & Fizz early bird session where ticket holders get first pick of the rails with a welcome glass of fizz.
Saturday, April 25, is free entry for everyone to browse and shop.
Rachel Bradley, trustee at Smart Works Reading and a Wokingham resident, said: “We’re so excited to be bringing the Smart Works Fashion Sale to the centre of Wokingham for the first time.
“Smart Works Reading supports women across Berkshire, including many women from Wokingham, so it feels particularly special to be hosting our sale right here in the town.
“This is guilt-free, sustainable shopping at its best – incredible fashion finds at fantastic prices, with every penny supporting unemployed women in our community to get back into work.”
Proceeds from the fashion sales provide critical funding for Smart Works Reading’s free service for unemployed women across Berkshire.
The charity provides interview-ready outfits and one-to-one coaching to help women gain the confidence and practical skills needed to secure employment.
Recent independent research by Frontier Economics found that Smart Works generates £8 in economic and social benefits for every £1 of funding received – demonstrating the measurable impact every purchase makes.
