THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS doubled their number of councillors in May’s local elections, going from eight to 16.
This has been reflected in a shake-up of its team on Wokingham Borough Council.
As the Conservatives main opposition, they have the opportunity to create a shadow executive. A number of councillors take on dual portfolios, while some of the new intake have a chance to settle in before taking up duties.
Cllr Lindsay Ferris remains leader with Cllr Clive Jones as his deputy.
The team was announced at the annual council meeting held at Shute End on Wednesday, May 22.
