The countdown has begun for the much-anticipated return of Wokingham’s Party in the Park.
The event, on Saturday, June 7, will feature a new line up of entertainment and acts.
Hosted by Wokingham town council, this festival promises a day of unforgettable entertainment and community spirit for all to enjoy.
Last year saw an incredible turnout of more than 4,000 people from in and around Wokingham, with families and groups coming together to soak up the festival atmosphere.
This year promises to be even bigger and better.
Starting at 3pm are Iris, a three-part country act. Expect girl power and fantastic vocals to get us all up and dancing to covers of hits like ‘9-5’, ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’ and ‘Man, I Feel Like a Woman’.
Next are SuperSKAs an authentic tribute to ska and two tone. With Bestival under their belt and praise from legendary ska band The Specials, you better get practicing your skanking.
Into the evening, we have The Magnets, dubbed the UK’s no1 acapella supergroup. Their vocal and beat boxing talents have led them to a record deal with EMI and perform alongside Blondie, Bryan Adams and Tom Jones.
Headline act is Fully Funktional. A Wokingham favourite returning to Party in the Park after a few years away, they will be bringing party anthems and boundless energy to end the evening on a real high.
Visitors can also enjoy a mouthwatering array of culinary delights from around the globe. From savoury Greek delicacies to classic festival BBQ, and mouthwatering Thai food, there’s something to satisfy every craving.
Mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready for a day of music, food, and fun at Wokingham Party in the Park 2025.
Councillor Barry Callender, chair of the arts and culture committee, said: “Join us for a fantastic afternoon at Party in the Park, brought to you by Wokingham Town Council.
“This vibrant event is celebrating its fourth year of being held in the popular Elms Field, where it brings the community together for a fantastic day of live music.
“With four incredible bands spanning a variety of genres, it’s the perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy great tunes, and make memories with family and friends.
“Whether you’re here for the music, the atmosphere, or simply to connect with your neighbours, Party in the Park promises to be a fun, friendly day out for all ages.”
