It has been confirmed that former Reading FC star John Swift will be available as a free agent this summer with his contract at West Brom coming to an end.
The midfielder has spent three years with West Brom, but former manager Tony Mowbray. who was sacked last week confirmed that he will not be offered an extension.
Swift signed for the Royals from Chelsea in 2016 and enjoyed a brilliant six year spell in Berkshire.
In his debut season with Reading he netted eight times in 36 Championship games as the Royals were defeated on penalties in the 2017 play-off final by Huddersfield Town.
He enjoyed his best goal scoring campaign in what was his last for reading in the 2021/22 campaign as he scored 11 times in 38 matches.
Swift then departed Reading on a free transfer to join West Brom as Reading were subsequently relegated from the Championship the following season.
The 29-year-old played three seasons for West Brom, scoring 15 times in his first two seasons.
However, he is yet to find the net in 25 Championship appearances this campaign and will be searching for a new club this summer.
The Baggies look set for a midtable finish and are currently in 10th place, six points off the play-off places with two games to go.
