A FINCHAMPSTEAD church will mark 15 years of faith and fun this weekend.
The Finchampstead Baptist Church, located at the FBC Centre, is holding an All-Age Birthday Celebration on Saturday, with more festivities at their morning service the following day.
Visitors to the centre will be able to enjoy outdoor games, try interactive experiences, and meet new people.
On Saturday a Family Fun Day will provide entertainment, activities suitable for all ages, and an opportunity to discover (and try out) the many programmes offered by the FBC Centre.
Outdoor family-friendly games will include an inflatable assault course, crazy golf, beat the goalie, a mega slide, bouncy castle, golf simulator, badminton, pickle ball, and various arts and crafts.
Inside the FBC centre, food and drinks will be available from the cafe.
“For 15 years, our centre has been a place of connection, support, and joy,” said lead pastor of FBC Chris Simpkins.
“This event is all about celebrating that journey.
“Whether you’ve been with us from the start, or are discovering us for the first time, this is a day to celebrate community, friendships, and the amazing moments we’ve shared.
“It’s going to be an unforgettable day.”
Festivities continue on Sunday with an All-Age Birthday Celebration service followed by a community picnic.
People are invited to bring a sandwich picnic to enjoy with friends after the service.
The church will provide birthday cake, soft drinks, and fizz.
People are asked to let organisers know they are coming to make sure there is enough cake for everyone.
“We’ve enjoyed 15 years of God’s faithfulness, provision and growth at FBC,” continued Chris.
“As a church that has always been at the heart of our community, we’re excited to come together to mark this significant milestone.
“We look forward to celebrating and thanking God for all He has done, and to continuing to be a beacon of His love in the community.”
The Family Fun Day will take place at the FBC Centre on Saturday, April 26, from 11am until 3pm.
On Sunday, April 27, celebrations begin at 10.30am with an all-age service at the church.
