A leading laundry company is now twice as shiny after receiving two awards for its health and safety standards.
White Waltham-based business CLEAN was named Gold Merit Award winner at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards 2019 at ExCeL London on June 18, just a few days after receiving Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation.
This is the seventh year the laundry company has won the RoSPA award and the title is yet another valuable contribution to their strong health and safety record across their seven sites including Slough, Berkshire.
The RoSPA Awards acknowledges organisations that demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems as well as the ability to identify potential hazards, and demonstrate outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Head of Group Health, Safety and Environment at CLEAN, Matt De La Bertauche, said: “CLEAN is committed to providing safe environments for our members of staff to work in and we ensure that rigorous safety checks and effective procedures are implemented across all seven of our sites.
“To receive RoSPA’s gold standard for a seventh consecutive year and SafeContractor accreditation for a sixth consecutive year is a major achievement and highlight’s CLEAN’s solid track record in safety.”
CLEAN was also accredited for the sixth year running by the Alcumus SafeContractor scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management among contractors.
Employing more than 1,400 people across England, the laundry business supplies textile rental and laundry services to the hospitality sector.
And of the 5,500 businesses that it works with, Harbour Hotel Group, Edwardian Hotels London, Park Plaza, and Hilton are included. To find out more about CLEAN, log on to www.cleanservices.co.uk.
