Tom Hayes MP, the government’s national mission champion for energy, was in Wokingham last week.
He visited tepeo’s headquarters to explore how innovative low-carbon technologies, such as the company’s ZEB heat battery boiler, are contributing to the UK’s journey towards a net-zero future.
During his visit, he saw how tepeo is providing sustainable heating solutions for homes across the country.
The ZEB is a key example of cutting-edge technology designed to reduce carbon emissions and help decarbonise homes, particularly those not suitable for heat pumps.
He said: “It was fascinating to visit tepeo’s facility in Wokingham, and see first-hand how their heat battery technology is transforming the way we heat our homes.
“Heat batteries provide an exciting, efficient, and flexible technology, making greener, more affordable energy a reality for households.
“Companies like tepeo play a crucial role in the Labour government’s mission to decarbonise homes, build energy security, and lower energy bills for families, and I look forward to supporting the sector as I continue to carry out my role.
The visit highlights the importance of collaboration between the government and the private sector to drive forward the adoption of green technologies.

To accelerate the adoption of low-carbon technologies, tepeo is calling for the government to extend VAT relief and subsidies to innovative solutions like the ZEB, making sustainable heating more affordable and accessible to homeowners while driving the UK’s decarbonisation goals.
