JOE HUMPHREYS has profited from good work by Thames Valley Kings to help fund a new wheelchair.
Kings set up a crowd funding page for the 19-year-old, who regularly coaches and plays for the club, and he has now received a £3,500 chair.
Humphreys was also assisted by grants from Thatcham Nursing Society and Newbury and Thatcham Welfare Trust.
“Now I can enjoy more every day activities without struggling,” he said.
“Thank you to everyone who shared and donated towards it and for the grants. Without your help I would’ve have the light weight wheelchair and it will really give me opportunities that I didn’t have before.”
