LAW firm, Clifton Ingram, has appointed Sam Fellows as a partner within its Dispute Resolution team.
The appointment strengthens the specialist property litigation expertise available to Clifton Ingram’s clients in Wokingham, providing businesses and homeowners across the area with access to a broader range of expert legal support.
Clifton Ingram is a well-established, full-service law firm ranked in the Legal 500, with offices in Farnham, Reading and Wokingham.
Sam joins the firm with more than ten years of post-qualification experience in commercial and residential property litigation.
For clients in Wokingham, his appointment means greater access to specialist support across a wide range of property matters, including business lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, leasehold enfranchisement, restrictive covenants, break options, boundary disputes, adverse possession, trespass and rights of way.
Sam’s specialism in leasehold enfranchisement and statutory lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 is of particular value to property owners in Wokingham and the surrounding area.
This is particularly relevant in the context of the growing demand for specialist leasehold advice, which has increased considerably amid ongoing legislative reform.
His expertise in rights of first refusal under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 further adds to the depth of specialist property advice now available to local clients.
Sam said: “What drew me to Clifton Ingram was the calibre of its people and the genuine breadth of work across the firm’s offices.
“I am looking forward to playing an active role in building a team that approaches litigation with pragmatism and empathy, and has the resources to handle complex matters to the highest standard.”
Jonathan Foulds, Managing Partner and Head of Commercial Property at Clifton Ingram, added: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the partnership.
“He brings a formidable depth of experience in property litigation, and his specialist knowledge in leasehold matters is a particularly valuable addition to the team.
“We are committed to ensuring that the expertise we invest in benefits clients across all of our offices and Sam’s appointment means that businesses and homeowners in Wokingham have access to an even stronger property litigation service.”
