A photographer from Wokingham has been named a finalist in the 2026 UK Small Business Awards.
Dominique Brocklehurst-Waite, who runs Dominique – Alana Photography said she was “lost for words” after learning she had reached the national finals, having been selected from “tens of thousands” of small businesses across the UK.
She described the achievement as “emotional and surreal”, adding that the recognition came after eight years of building the business from a personal passion project.
In a social media post, she reflected on the “risks”, “late night editing”, and the support she had received from clients and followers over the years.
The finalist thanked customers for continuing to book her services and also praised supporters who had shared and recommended her work online.
She also paid tribute to local media organisations Wokingham.Today and Reading Today for helping promote her work.
The photographer additionally thanked Sellebrity Soccer for giving her opportunities to photograph celebrity charity football matches.
She will now progress to the National Top 10 Grand Final of the awards.
