Reading FC manager Paul Ince has explained the process behind getting his side ready for a manic fixture schedule.
The Royals face the test of three games in six days in what is a hectic period before the winter World Cup.
“We’ve done it all (tactical work). While everyone was on the international break we’ve got it all planned and know what we’re going to do against Huddersfield, QPR and Norwich.
“It’s a case of hours of watching, watching and watching. Its got to be done.
“It’s hard to get the message over because you have to switch the mentality from the weekend straight to Tuesday.
“As a manager and staff you’ve got to try and get as much detail into the players which is hard. But if we win, we’ll ask them to do the same again.”
The boss also gave an update on the current injury status in the squad.
He continued: “Naby (Sarr) is out again for another two or three weeks. It’s his calf again.
“Andy Carroll is fit and ready to go. He’s played a couple of games. He’s still not there yet but we’re trying to sharpen him up as quickly as we can.
“Femi (Azeez) has started doing stuff with the medical team on the grass and it will probably be a couple of weeks until he can start training with us.
“It’s been a hard journey for him but he’s got a smile back on his face.
“Ovie (Ejaria) is back training. He looks sharp and strong and has been training for the last week.
“He’s looked that good I’m half tempted to throw him in but we’ve got to be careful because we’ve got so many games coming up.
“Shane Long has been in this week doing some gym work.”
