I have lived in Woodley nearly all my life, currently in the Coronation Ward, and seen the town grow and change.
I ran my own business for over 40 years.
I take a keen interest in my local community and have been involved in a wide range of community groups over the years, dealing with and helping people of all ages.
People talk to me regularly about local issues and I want to represent them and campaign on their behalf as a councillor.

As Coronation ward borough councillor, I have worked closely with Cllr Keith Baker over the last 4 years to represent and work for our Coronation ward residents. I’m keen to continue being your strong voice; campaigning for the things that really matter to local people.
I moved here in 1987 to study Human Geography and then a PGCE at Reading University and liked this area so much I have never left! I raised my family in Earley and was a Borough Councillor there from 2014 to 2018 and a Bulmershe School parent governor. I now live on Woodley Airfield, work in Wokingham and in my spare time I enjoy being a Beaver Scout Leader in Loddon District.
I value feedback from residents and knock on doors all year round to talk with residents and discuss concerns and what’s happening in Woodley. Communication is important and so Saturday street surgeries, regular newsletters and our annual Coronation ward survey all enable you to know what your councillors are doing and give me opportunities to understand your views and issues.
I have helped residents with a wide range of problems in the last 4 years dealing with issues such as planning, potholes, parking and damaged verges. One of my recent successes as your borough councillor was to get our Police and Crime Commissioner involved to expedite the removal of travellers from the old Travis Perkins site.
I do encourage residents to contact me for assistance with any local problems or to share your views. I have campaigned hard to stop the huge increases in car park charges that threaten the future of our town centre and thank all the businesses who hosted the petition signed by 4200 people.
With your support on 4 May I can continue representing this ward and help the Conservatives to regain control of the council to stop the Coalition’s less for more policies which are the wrong decisions at a time when residents and local businesses continue to need support.
