GET ready for a fun-filled day of creativity, music, storytelling and family entertainment in Wokingham town centre.
Enjoy musical theatre workshops, spring hat-making with professional theatre costume and set designers, interactive storytelling for little ones, face painting, and nature crafts, as Reading Rep Theatre brings its magic to town.
The Wokingham Town Council event, organised in conjunction with Reading Rep, and Wokingham Borough Council, will take place throughout the day, and everything is free.
What’s happening where?
Peach Place
Two themed musical theatre dance workshops can be joined:
11.15am until noon – There’s No Place Like Home (Wizard of Oz & Wicked)
2.15pm until 3pm – Put That Spring in Your Step (Spring themed musical workshop)
Both are suitable for all ages; just turn up on the day.
11am until 3pm – facepainting.
Wokingham Town Hall
Design your own spring hat with professional Reading Rep Theatre designers
Two sessions will take place at 11.30am until 12.30pm and from 1.30pm until 2.30pm.
(Numbers are limited for the Town Hall sessions, so free entry tickets will be available from 30 minutes before each session starts.)
Elms Field
Reading Rep Theatre will hold three interactive storytelling sessions:
11am until 11.45am – Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
Noon until 12.45pm – The Wizard of Oz
1pm until 1.45pm – Veg Patch Party
Sessions are suitable for children aged one to five.
No booking is needed.
Wokingham Town Centre
11am until 3pm – Wokingham in Bloom will be bringing decorative posts, fun nature-based crafts, and face painters to the town centre.
The Spring Back to Wokingham event will take place on Saturday, May 30, from 11am until 3pm.
