A WOKINGHAM church autumn event at the weekend was enjoyable and well-attended, say organisers.
Attended by Wokingham Town Mayor, Cllr Rob Comber, St Paul’s Church Autumn Bazaar was popular with visitors.
After officially opening the event, the mayor thanked the organisers for their time, effort and commitment in organising the bazaar, and for the church’s work in the community.
He then took a tour of the attractions which included stalls with children’s games, book sales, bric-a-brac, a tombola, gifts, and cakes.
Lunches and refreshments were also available.
Organiser Teri Austen from St Paul’s Church, Said: “It was a lovely, lively event – not quite as busy as last year, but well attended nonetheless.
“We’ve made just under £1,800, which will be divided between the church, and our three chosen charities; United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG), Soulscape, and Home-Start Wokingham District.”
