WOMEN from across Berkshire came together for The Cowshed’s latest Mother’s Coffee Morning.
The charity provides a welcoming event every three months, designed to provide support, connection and valuable information for new and expectant mums.
The free event offered a relaxed opportunity for 39 mothers to enjoy coffee, cake and conversation, while hearing from NHS professionals on a range of topics related to motherhood, with a particular focus on post-natal wellbeing and maternal mental health.
The morning was held in partnership with Royal Berkshire Maternity and Neonatal Voices, giving local mothers the chance to share their experiences and provide direct feedback to maternity teams from local NHS hospitals in an open and supportive environment.
Every mother attending received a complimentary tote bag filled with thoughtful gifts for both themselves and their baby.
Recent supporters of the initiative include Pigeon Organics and The Sanctuary Bath Products, whose generous donations helped make the day even more special.
The Cowshed provides support to people of all backgrounds in a time of personal crisis, its aim to provide good quality cleaned and ironed clothes and other essentials free to anyone in need.
The charity is more than a place to receive help, it is a space where people find connection, kindness and community.
Through a range of outreach projects, individuals and families across Berkshire find support.
As well as its essential home packs, the charity provides school uniforms, prom dresses and suits, children’s books, packs for care leaver new mothers, and hospital bags for new mothers in crisis.

The coffee morning is part of The Cowshed’s ongoing commitment to supporting families beyond the provision of essential items, recognising that connection, community and access to information can be just as important during the early stages of motherhood.
Anyone interested in attending the next Mother’s Coffee Morning, planned for autumn 2026, can follow The Cowshed charity on Facebook/Instagram for updates and booking information.
