AN ANNUAL event to support SAFE will take place in July.
The Charity is preparing to entertain thousands of visitors to its Family Fun Day
Saving Abandoned Fly-Grazing Equines (SAFE), rescues horses and ponies that have been deserted by owners and left to fend for themselves.
After nursing the animals, which can often be malnourished and ill, back to health SAFE then works to rehome them wherever possible.
The annual summer event is a major fundraiser for the charity.
Visitors to the Family Fun Day can enjoy donkey rides, a wide range of stalls, a funfair bar, games, a dog show, DJ led music, and a barbecue, and a chance to meet the charity’s mascot ponies Luca and Seguro.
It will take place at Cantley Park, on Saturday, July 25.
Gates are open from 11am until 5pm.
Tickets cost £2 for adults, and are free for under 12s.
