Former Reading FC striker Jayden Wareham has completed a permanent move to Wycombe Wanderers after leaving Exeter City.
The 23-year-old forward had been linked with a number of clubs throughout the summer following an impressive campaign with the Grecians.
Wareham scored 19 goals in League One last season and had attracted interest from several sides, with Wycombe eventually securing his signature for an undisclosed fee.
The move brings the Ascot-born striker back to League One, where he will hope to continue the form that made him one of the division’s most sought-after forwards during the transfer window.
Wareham began his career in Reading’s academy before spells with QPR and Woking, later joining Chelsea.
He returned to the Royals in 2023 following his release from the Premier League side and went on to make more than 50 appearances for the club across two seasons.
Reading offered the striker a new contract in the summer of 2025, but Wareham opted for a move to Exeter, where he enjoyed a prolific first season.
His performances for the Grecians led to speculation over his future throughout the summer, with a host of League One clubs reportedly monitoring the striker.
Wycombe had been linked with Wareham earlier in August before agreeing a deal with Exeter to bring him to Adams Park.
Wareham’s move could also see him come up against his former club Reading later this season.
