FAITH has many aspects to it, says a member of Woosehill Church.
It can help make life better if we have faith in ourselves, our family, our friends and in God.
Having faith in our friends and family helps to foster good relationships, and provides us with a support network to help us deal with whatever life throws at us.
If life throws a curveball close friends and family can make these events much easier to handle.
And if our friends respond positively when we need them, so we, too, can support them in the same way.
If we don’t have faith in ourselves, it can be very difficult to achieve anything.
Whatever we want to achieve, we have to believe that we are capable of it, otherwise there is no point in starting.
But it’s important to be honest with ourselves, and realistic.
There is no point in expecting to manage something that, in reality we have very little chance of achieving.
So we should try to achieve our ambitions, but with realistic expectations.
That means understanding ourselves well enough to know what is possible.
For me, faith in God is a big part of my life.
God provides support for me through prayer, and through the support of many friends in my church community.
I have had to rely on God and my church family a lot over the past 18 months and their support has made my life a lot easier over that time.
Geoff Peck writes for Woosehill Church, which meets on Sundays at 10am.
