Wokingham borough’s football teams had mixed fortunes in their respective FA Cup matches last weekend.
In the Emirates FA Cup, Wokingham Town will face a replay tonight (Tuesday) at Lowther Road (7.45pm kick-off) against Hungerford Town after a 1-1 draw on Friday night in west Berkshire. The winners will travel to Wells City in the next round.
A first-half goal from Keiran Dowding put the Sumas ahead against their higher-ranked opponents, but despite enduring a second-half onslaught from the home side they did enough to bring the tie back to Wokingham.
On Sunday, both Wokingham teams suffered defeats in the Adobe Women’s DA Cup.
Ashridge Park went down 0-6 at Cantley Park against a well-drilled Slough Town, while Finchampstead lost 1-2 against Whitchurch United in their home tie that was played at Slough Town’s Arbour Park ground.
