THE Gratis Choir is holding a spring concert in Winnersh this weekend.
Called Poetry in Music, the event sees the choir sing words that were originally written as poetry, rather than as lyrics.
The programme starts with a poem from 1000BC and continues through to the 20th Century, with many different eras represented.
The concert takes place from 7.30pm on Saturday, May 18, at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Church Close.
Entry is free, but a retiring collection will be taken.
