‘He’s unplayable at the moment’ Paul Ince highlights threat of Manchester United forward ahead of FA Cup tie

Paul Ince labelled Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as ‘unstoppable’ ahead of Reading FC’s FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.

The Royals will be out to cause an upset in Manchester on Saturday night, but Ince is wary of the threats that the Premier League side pose.

Rashford has been in scintillating form since returning from the World Cup where he has scored 10 goals in his last 10 games for United.

“Hopefully he’s not going to play,” said Ince on Rashford.

“I was a bit disappointed they won 3-0 last night because that tie (against Forest) looks more or less done.

“Like any player, it’s all about confidence and the right manager coming in and finding how to build confidence.

“To see him doing what he does best is great for Man United.

“He’s unplayable at the moment, unstoppable. The goal he scored last night shows the type of form he’s in.

“We can’t just think about stopping Rashford, they’ve got so many top players with Eriksen, Fernandes and Weghorst got his first goal yesterday.

“It’s not about us stopping players, it’s about us putting in a performance.”

Despite being big underdogs for the game, Ince reiterated the importance for the team to dream about causing a shock.

He continued: “ For people like us at Reading and for the fans you’ve always got to dream, the FA Cup is about giant killing.

“It’s very rare you get a Wigan that wins it, but it’s about giant killing and we’ve got an opportunity to do that.

“They’ve got another game on Wednesday so it’s about guessing what team they’re going to put out. Yesterday they brought on a couple of young kids, Garnacho and Elanga.

“What we’ve got to prepare for, forget about Manchester United, is the atmosphere. There will be 70,000 fans there.

“We have to deal with the atmosphere that Old Trafford brings and it’s something that most of our players haven’t experienced. So we have to prepare for that mentally rather than the game.

“There is no pressure on us to go and win the game, I’m not going there for a sightseeing trip. For us we’ve got a chance of causing an upset.”
